Instructor

 

Scott Meredith has studied martial arts, energy, and movement systems for over 30 years, starting at age 14
(1973). He has intensively trained in Chinese martial systems (Taijiquan, Xingyiquan, Baguazhang,
Shaolinquan, Chinna, Neigong, and many others), Japanese systems (Taikiken, Nishino Breathing Method,
and many others), as well as Russian military combative systems. His primary training system is the
37-step Simplified Yang form created by Cheng Man-Ch'ing, which he studied intensively under 
Benjamin Pang Jeng Lo (senior student of Cheng Man-Ch'ing) for ten years in San Francisco.
 
He is certified as an Instructor under Benjamin Lo.
 
His teaching embodies both the extreme softness and gentleness of Professor
Cheng's philosophy, along with the extremely rigorous training methods emphasized by Benjamin Lo. 
The training can challenge a conditioned triathlete,but is gentle enough for senior citizens and 
differently-abled people. 
 
Scott speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and Japanese. He attempts to pass along faithfully as much of 
the essence of Master Lo’s superb art as he can.
