Push Hands (tui shou)

Push hands is a 2-partner sensitivity drill wherein each partner attempts to unbalance the other by exploiting any perceptible degree of mental or physical tension (using it as a "handle"). I believe that limited forms of tui shou partner work should be introduced from the very first lesson, and that this work must be part of every class. I have extensive experience in push hands and  partner work and always keep it safe, fun, and educational for any level of practitioner.

The Fundamental Rule of Push Hands (Prof. Cheng):

"Never apply more than 4 ounces of pressure to your partner;

never accept more than 4 ounces of pressure from your partner."

The Attitude Required to Benefit from Push Hands Training (Prof. Cheng):

"Invest in Loss"
